What happened to porndb.me
porndb.me ran as a beta from 2019. It has been replaced by a new app, built from scratch, that focuses on browsing new releases by preview image with metadata from prdb.net and your own NZB indexers. The switch happened in one go on 16 October 2026:
- porndb.me now points to the new app.
- app.porndb.me, the old web app, sends you straight to the migration page.
- api.porndb.me, the old API, answers with
410 Gone. Integrations that used it no longer work.
Your old account was not deleted. It waits, locked, until you claim it or until the migration deadline passes.

Step by step

Open the migration page
Go to https://app2.porndb.me/claim-legacy. You do not need to sign in first.

Prove your old password
Enter the login and password you used on the old porndb.me. The proof is valid for a short time and does not sign you in.

Choose a new account or an existing one
Pick "Claim a new account" and enter an email address you can confirm plus a new password of 8 to 128 characters. If you already registered on app2.porndb.me, sign in first, come back and choose "Use an existing account" instead.

Confirm your email address
Open the confirmation link sent to the address you chose. If it does not arrive, use "Send to another address" on the same page.

Transfer your indexer keys
Sign in, open Settings → Data → Legacy import and decide which of your old indexer keys to take over. Confirm with your current password.

Reconnect what could not be transferred
Keys marked "cannot be transferred safely" need a fresh API key under Settings → Downloads → Indexers.
A closer look at indexer keys
Indexer keys are never moved silently. After your account is linked, the Legacy import page lists each old key with one of three states:
- Ready to transfer: the key becomes an active connection the moment you apply your choices.
- You already have this connection: your current key stays unless you tick the box to replace it with the old one.
- Cannot be transferred safely: the old value was incomplete or malformed, for example a key with a stray space or line break. Copy a fresh key from your indexer and add it under Indexers.
PornDB does not test transferred keys against the indexer. If a download link fails with an authentication error at the indexer, replace the key with a current one from your indexer profile. A transferred connection shows releases as soon as PornDB collects that indexer; until then the app marks it as not available.
Frequently asked questions
I forgot my old porndb.me password. Can I still migrate?
No. Old passwords cannot be reset, because the old site is switched off and the migration accepts only the old password as proof. Create a new account at https://app2.porndb.me/register instead and add your indexer keys there.
My old login was not a real email address, or I lost access to it.
That is fine. The old login is only used to find your old account. For the new account you enter any email address you can confirm; it may differ from your old login.
I already created an account on the new app. Do I need a second one?
No. Sign in to your existing account, open the migration page again, prove your old password and choose "Use an existing account". Your current email and password stay as they are.
Are my favourites, playlists and settings transferred?
No. Only the account itself and your personal indexer keys can be taken over. Favourites, playlists, filters, history and any plan or role from the old site do not carry over. Favourite actors and sites can be imported from prdb.net instead.
What happened to the old porndb.me API and RSS feeds?
They were switched off together with the old site on 16 October 2026. api.porndb.me now answers with "410 Gone", so scripts and download clients that used it will stop working. Old porndb.me API keys are not transferred.
Do I need an NZBPorn key?
No. NZBPorn is built into the new app and works without a personal key, so an old NZBPorn key is not transferred.
What happens after the deadline?
From 1 October 2027, 00:00 UTC the app no longer accepts old passwords or transfers old keys, and the remaining temporary migration data is deleted. Accounts that were claimed before then are not affected. After the deadline you can only register a new account.
Is downloading still free?
Browsing, previews and search are free. Downloading NZB files in the new app requires an active prdb.net membership, also for migrated accounts.

Once you are signed in, the app has a built-in helpdesk under Support. If the migration does not work for you, create a new account at app2.porndb.me/register or sign in and open a ticket there; mention the login of your old account but never your old password.
