porndb.me is back: meet the new PornDB app
The 2019 porndb.me beta is gone. Its successor, live at app2.porndb.me, lets you browse new adult Usenet releases by preview image, actor and site.
If you followed porndb.me in its early days, you will remember the promise on the old homepage: to become one of the best porn databases for newly released content, with a proper API on top, “an IMDb or Trakt for porn”. That beta went online in 2019. Most of what it announced (playlists, Trakt-style tracking, RSS feeds for SABnzbd and torrent clients, a paid API for webmasters) never got past the “coming soon” stage.
Today we switched that old site off and replaced it with something that actually works: the new PornDB app at app2.porndb.me.
What the new PornDB does
PornDB is built around one idea: you should be able to find a scene by what it looks like, not by deciphering release names.
- Preview images first. The main view is a grid of videos with preview images, the actors in them, the site and the release date.
- Metadata from prdb.net. Actors, aliases, sites and networks come from the prdb.net catalog, which PornDB synchronises locally.
- Releases from your indexers. PornDB collects NZB indexer entries in the background and matches them to those videos. When a video has several releases, each one shows up as its own download option with indexer, size and resolution.
- NZBPorn built in. Releases from nzbporn.org are available to every confirmed account without a personal key. Other supported indexers, such as NZBFinder and DrunkenSlug, use your own API key.
- Raw search across everything that has been collected, including releases that are not matched to a video yet.
- Favourite actors and sites imported from your prdb.net account, so you can filter the whole catalog by the people and studios you care about.

What changed compared to the old porndb.me
The new app is not an update of the old code. It was rebuilt from scratch, and a few things work differently on purpose:

That last point deserves a sentence of its own: creating an account, browsing, previews and search are free. Downloading an NZB file requires an active prdb.net membership, which the app checks through your prdb.net connection.
What happened to the old addresses
- porndb.me now points to the new app.
- app.porndb.me, the old web app, sends you to the account migration page.
- api.porndb.me answers with
410 Gone. Scripts and download clients that used it will stop working.
Had an account on the old site?
Your account is not lost. Until 1 October 2027, 00:00 UTC you can prove your old password once at app2.porndb.me/claim-legacy, set a new password and email address, and take your saved indexer keys with you.
